ALISS: But we have something even better! Because Jesus went to the cross and He died and He rose again and He paid the price for all of our sin, all of our sickness, all of our pain, all of our infirmities. Death itself even He took it and He rose again! So what that means for you and for I is that we don’t have to go to a place like the Pool of Bethesda! We don’t have to go and find Aliss Cresswell to get her to pray for me. But you can actually receive the glorious presence of Jesus the healer right where you are and His angels, His healing angels that are around here and they will minister healing to us! So let’s just reach out and receive that right now! If you want to put your hands up and receive from Jesus. Sometimes Jesus will manifest Himself through angels. So it might be through His Holy Spirit. Sometimes His angels that will bring you your healing! Sometimes I see angels like bright lights flashing. Anybody see that right now? You might feel like a wind go past you, just a breeze because angels on the winds. Thank You, Father! Messengers sent from heaven! You might feel an angel just touch you. You might feel something. Who’s feeling something in an area of their body that needs healing? Who’s feeling something right now tingling or heat or something? Just raise your hand if you’re feeling something happening. So many of you are feeling stuff happening. Receive it! This is from Jesus! Receive that touch from Jesus wherever you are! Receive it right now! There’s just this kind of quiet peace is what I’m – are you sensing that? Breezy? You’re feeling a breeze, are you? Wow! Really? Is that the air conditioning or you think that’s an angel?

AUDIENCE: Both!

ALISS: [Laughs] Yeah! Definitely angels! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Wow! Yeah, some of you there’s a lot of like fear and anxiety been going on and some of you are getting the Prince of peace! It’s coming right now. Who needs that? Raise your hand if you have like anxiety, fear of anything going on. So why don’t we just say together, “Prince of peace.”

ALISS: I invite You.

ALISS: To walk into my body.

ALISS: To walk into my mind.

AUDIENCE:  To walk into my mind.

ALISS: And walk into my emotions.

AUDIENCE: And walk into my emotions.

ALISS: Wow! Thank You, Jesus! This thing is just leaving. Just let him go. Just jog on as my daughter says. Tell him to jog on! [Laughs] Off they go! Yeah, some of you are getting some real freedom! From fear and anxieties. Jesus said, “Do not worry!” So don’t! You don’t have to! Just don’t do it! Sometimes you know the enemy will come. Evil spirits. Spirits of fear. A spirit of anxiety. Spirits of anxiety will come and you know they’ll only have – you know this. An evil spirit can only have power in your life if you come into agreement with it! Whether you know Jesus or not if you come into agreement with an evil spirit it will give it power in your life! It’s really important to break that agreement! So if you have some kind of trauma or accident or something happened to you that was not your fault but even so you’ve got a little bit of fear or a bit of trauma you’ve taken aboard. Then an evil spirit can come along and if you agree with it in any way maybe even by speaking out.

SID: I’ve never had this happen before. A messianic Jewish rabbi, Rabbi Halpern. I’ll tell you, Felix, I’ve never had anyone call me up and say, “Sid, I have an angel here right now.” That wasn’t a norm before that medical mistake occurred. Tell me about that.

FELIX: By no means. To be able to go through the process of dying from a medical mistake, consuming seven and a half months of medication in 29 days.

SID: That’s quite a mistake.

FELIX: Thrust my body for one month into a toxic state, which doctors called an inner storm. And the final week things began to accelerate where my body was on fire, my chest was in pain, my back, every muscle was hurting and all had typical signs of a heart attack. But for some reason, I kept thinking that it would go away. Until one night was the worst night of the whole process where I couldn’t take any more pain.

At 3:00 AM I go down to the living room and my heart stopped. It had too much. And in an instant, in an instant, actually in the twinkling of an eye, which is only a third of a second, like that my soul stepped out of my body. It began to rise in the spiritual realm. And at one point I could see my body on the couch, lifeless.

An angel came as I’m lying horizontally in the spiritual realm, and he’s moving his hand on me. I could see his body, powerful with authority and in the right side of my vision, where I was lying down in the spiritual realm, again I stress, was a white light. A distant light through a tunnel, like a tube if you will, or a tunnel.

SID: In this process, were you fearful at all?

FELIX: When death took place, all the night’s pain, all the month’s, was gone, but there was an incredible peace and joy. And there was absolutely no fear, but then the journey continued. And the next thing I knew that I was before the throne of heaven.

SID: What did you see?

FELIX: A ring of fire.

SID: You’re feeling emotion right now? Why?

FELIX: When I came before the throne, and I get emotional with that too, because you’re before the throne. A ring of fire encircles the throne, ripples of fire and ripples of glory with depth. With

protecting the throne. And I immediately went down upon my face. I remember covering my eyes because I could not stand the glory, the brilliance, the fire.

I had to cover my eyes. To this day when I’m in the presence of God and I come into his glory and I’m worshiping, it’s common for me to cover my eyes now, but I sat, I lie before the throne of God. I saw the throne.

I saw the feet of our Lord and the throne rested on a crystal sea, a crystal firmament that separated the third heaven from the lower heavens. And so, as I’m in heaven, I was by a river. The river flowed, it seemed, from the throne. And I don’t know to where it went, but it was flowing.

SHAWN: That’s how prophecy starts. Many of us don’t ever hear that because a lot of people who prophesy they actually just do a gift. They just prophesy to the measure of their gift. They’re not connected in their emotions. You become one of the millions of people they’ve prophesied over. They don’t know who you are. And I’m not saying I remember everybody I prophesied over but I remember a moment that I spent because I was completely invested in that moment with them with God and my love was turned on or else I wasn’t going to do it. I refuse to do something that it doesn’t have to be an emotion but I don’t turn my love on for. Let’s look real fast at First Corinthians 12 where it talks about spiritual gifts. One of them says that there’s a message of the word of knowledge. Now this is incredible because a word of knowledge does this for people and it helps people to understand that they are loved by God and that He had pre-thought them. One of my favorite words of knowledge I ever had I was in Australia and I was with Pastor Bill Johnson. Many of you now him from Reading California. And right before he spoke they had asked me to get up and give some words of knowledge and to give some prophetic words. So I got up and I gave a list. I had pre-prayed and asked God for names of the people there and for whatever. Not names but just whatever He would say. And I pre-prayed and as I had started to try and give the words no one was there on my list! And I was like well you’re pretty, I’ll just prophesy over you. I don’t know. I didn’t know what to do. I was just like ha, ha, ha, does anybody want a word? You know like it was just one of those moments and it was a big sell-out conference and I bombed! You know but I was not a performance. I’m in love. I’m just trying. I’m taking risks. And I’m learning too and it’s not about information in the New Testament. You don’t go get stoned because you have information wrong. You get stoned when you don’t love well.

AUDIENCE: Mm.

SHAWN: And the Old Testament it was about you know all information. If you could get your information right that’s how God loved the people but in the New Testament it’s about we’re each justified by our own relationship and to hearing God. So we bring each other encouragement, comfort, edification. So if we miss it we just take responsibility and say I’m sorry that I missed that detail and we move on. We don’t have to stop our ministry. We don’t have to, we may decrease in our authority if we continually miss in certain areas. We need to like reevaluate how we’re getting those words but that’s part of learning how to be accountable to growth but you are not disqualified because you missed details. As a matter of fact before I go back into the Bill Johnson Australia story I was at Starbucks one day and I ran after this guy and I said hey, is there a Steven, like a brother or a cousin or something” He goes, no! and I thought ah-ha-ha. Okay. Bye.

KEVIN: But we really are!

RYAN: Right. Right.

KEVIN: And they explained to me that the answer to Michael the Archangel and that they were stationed there because of the interests of Israel and that the Lord God had assigned them under Michael in the Pentagon to make sure that everything goes well with this country because this country supports Israel. 

RYAN: Wow!

KEVIN: So that was the first shocker.

RYAN: Yeah.

KEVIN: And the second one was of course that they said that they were the ones that were influencing our government and the military over there and so that everything was slanted toward Israel. Isn’t that amazing? So that’s how it all started. However, they began to speak to me about my purpose on the earth and how God had sent me back. And so they started to explain to me. They said you know could you do what you usually do in the hotel rooms? It’s I worked for Southwest Airlines for 29 years and the next thing they said was can you just worship God like you do –   

RYAN: Wow!

KEVIN: In your hotel rooms?

RYAN: Wow!

KEVIN: They knew every night, that when I walked in my room, I would set my bags down and I would raise my hands and I would start to worship God. And so they said can you do that for us right now because we want to –

RYAN: Really?

KEVIN: Yeah. They said you don’t even need music or anything. They said you just worship God like that.

RYAN: And you’re just having this conversation with angels?

KEVIN: Yeah! So I said to them, I said to them you know no one’s going to ever believe this! I said how am I going to ever tell this story because no one’s going to believe me that this is even happening! Because it seemed like it was just six individuals that were very, very special in the Lord’s army but they were not like the religious.

RYAN: Right. Right.

KEVIN: You know they weren’t like a – it wasn’t a religious experience at all.

RYAN: Right. Right.

KEVIN: It was just like a – it was totally supernatural! The power of God was the pulse of the – the Father’s heart was just coming from them!

RYAN: Wow!

KEVIN: So they were explaining to me that I touched heaven’s heart when I worshipped.

RYAN: When you worshipped.

KEVIN: Uh-huh. So I raised my hands and I just started worshipping God like I do. And I would just imagine myself, when I was at the throne room of God when I’ve had my experience, I would just go back to that in my spirit so that’s what I did. Well, I could hear them join in.

RYAN: Wow!

KEVIN: And they started worshipping God!

RYAN: Wow!

KEVIN: And when I stopped they stopped. And they said we just love it when you do that! 

RYAN: Why do you think? Why do you think these angels so appreciated, a human’s worship, to God? I mean what was it doing for them?

KEVIN: For one thing they don’t really understand how much God – why God loves human beings as much as He does. 

RYAN: Wow.

DENNIS: And she goes, “I wonder how we’re going to move all that furniture. We’re still going to be traveling. We’re going to be in Connecticut and how we’re going to get back and how blah, blah, blah,”

JENNIFER: [laughs]

DENNIS: It proved another point. You can fool people with your words, you can even fool them with your silence, you can fool them with your body language, but you can’t hide what emanates. And so, I started,

JENNIFER: Can I tell them what you had me do?

DENNIS: Yeah.

JENNIFER: He had me drop down to my spirit and release that whole situation into the hands of God like that’s a river of release flowing out. And instantly, I had peace. And he said, “We’ll worry about moving when we get back from our ministry trip.” And He did, God came through! We had peace the whole time we were moving!

SID: Now, what do you do when someone attacks you verbally? What’s the very first thing you guys do?

JENNIFER: Well, I used to put up a wall, but what Dennis taught me to do was to drop down to my spirit and go to Jesus. He, Himself, is our peace and I’d feel His peace inside and it says the peace of God will guard our heart and mind. And people could say things, but I’d stay in peace. And you could hear that they had an issue, you could feel their emotion, but it couldn’t go in. It’s like a shield that quenches the fiery darts.

DENNIS: Even if it was demonic, it cannot penetrate the fruit of the Spirit.

JENNIFER: The enemy can’t touch the fruit of the Spirit.

DENNIS: But ninety-nine percent of Christians, when they’re in a hostile environment, the first thing they do, right? You know what I’m doing? Down here, you think you’re protecting yourself from somebody’s words. Guess what? When you put up that wall, that’s flesh, you just crimped the hose from getting any help from Jesus. You’re saying, “I’m going to take care of this myself because that person’s mean and I’m going to protect myself.” It goes right through that and you get bummed out.

JENNIFER: Because that wall is fear and fear belongs to the enemy camp.

DENNIS: And,

JENNIFER: Oh, I have a question for everybody.

DENNIS: Okay.

JENNIFER: Who gave us toxic emotions? The enemy, right? Jesus didn’t give us toxic emotions so when we feel those toxic emotions, he has permission, the enemy has permission to torment us. But do you know what? The children that we taught, we taught in a Christian school, they got it immediately. I said, “Where do toxic emotions come from?” and they said, “The enemy!” [laughs] Adults are a little slow, they have to think about it.

SID: Joshua Giles dreamed of playing professional baseball. He’d do anything to achieve it. He said a prayer at 12, but never had a personal relationship with God. At 22 years old, he was about to encounter a curve ball that he never saw coming. Joshua suddenly in your life, the supernatural became more real than the real. What happened?

JOSHUA: Absolutely. At 22 years old, it’s funny that because there’s a thin layer between the natural and the supernatural. One day, God just lifted the blinds. Literally, the supernatural world became so much more real than the natural. I’m like, “What is going on here?” It was terrifying because the first thing that I began to see was what was affecting my life? What I had allowed in my life through sticking my hand into iniquity or sin.

Things that we just don’t think may not have consequences. We don’t realize some of the things we allow into our life. I remember seeing all these demonic entities aligning up every night, coming to attack me. I couldn’t sleep. I remember sleeping with the light on. Didn’t want to go to the bathroom at night.

SID: That doesn’t work out too well when you’re an athlete.

JOSHUA: No, God.

SID: If you don’t sleep, you don’t have your endurance.

JOSHUA: I was tired. I had to go to school and eight hours of baseball. It was tormenting in the sense of exhaustion. That really led me to the point of where I was just done with it. I cried out one night in prayer and I said, “God, kill me or deliver me.” That’s when everything began to change.

SID: What happened?

JOSHUA: I went to a game the very next day when playing a team. Never played before in my life. I’m in the outfield. We’re having our pregame ritual, so to speak, for baseball, where everybody is preparing for the game. A young man from the other team came over and he looked at me and he says, “You had a car wreck five years ago. The devil tried to kill you.” In which, I did.

I hit a guy head on at 80 miles an hour when I was 18 years old and walked out that night from the hospital. One of the first times that God began to protect me. He says, “You’re being attacked at night by demons. God wants to deliver you.” I’m sitting here like, “What in the world is this?” I felt it and I had to pray the prayer [like] the night before. Next thing you know, he lays hands on me.

I feel that, the presence and power of God touched me. I’ve never felt that free and uplifting, like a weight had been lifted off of me. I go back to the dugout and I’m just rocking back and forth like, “God’s called me. God’s called me.” My teammates look at me like, “You’re crazy. What are you doing?” All I could focus on was there was no more baseball. I was focusing on what just happened here.

JERAME: I actually looked over like this. I could see his headlights coming at my door and I just yelled, “Jesus.” When I did, the car went right through my car physically. I looked in the rear view mirror and it almost hit the guy behind me, but that guy swerved out of the way. I was so shook. After that I said, “God, what was that?” He said, “That was me saving you because you have way too many souls to win in your calling.”

I said, “Well, where’s that at in the Bible?” He said, “Jerame, remember when they took Jesus by the scruff of his neck to throw him off the pinnacle of the cliff and he said that he just walked right through them?” He said, “I caused that car to go through you, because I still have a calling on your life.” I’m telling, he said if you have a calling and you are fulfilling that calling God will protect the anointing of God on your life at all costs.

SID: Could you catch that? He did one thing that caused something in the invisible world to be activated, to save his life. He only did one thing. Do you know what he did? He cried out the name Jesus.

JERAME: That’s right.

SID: Now, Jerame will teach you the major key in his life that released God’s presence, and it’s available to you. Be right back.

SID: I’ve been to many Resurrection Sunday services, but guess what? When Jerame had a Resurrection Sunday, people that died came back to life. What happened?

JERAME: Yeah. We were doing a Resurrection Sunday service at the revival and God had spoke to me right before the service, and he said, “I want you the week before to declare that power is going to come to raise the dead and that even if someone died, bring the dead.” I’ll never forget because I was really excited and I was halfway terrified because I thought, “Wow, what if someone brings a dead person? Long story short, we get to the service. No one brought anybody that was dead. Then I was disappointed and at the very end of the meeting, I decided, “Well, you know what? We’re going to pray resurrection over everything we can. Finances, people’s bodies, whatever.” I said, “If you have a need, just write it down on a card and bring it up.”

This lady came up with a card and she actually had a letter. She said, “I want you to pray for my friend in Egypt.” Well, she forgot to tell me an important fact that she had died just that day before. I said to her, “Well, let’s pray. I release resurrection power and we command this dead situation to come to life.” What was amazing is that in Egypt, this woman rose from the dead. Right when we made the decree.

DONNA: that goes like a seed into the hearts of people. Faith comes alive, and that opens them up to the supernatural.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: And that night, I waited for 2-1/2 hours while people gave testimony of how they were SNAPS FINGERS instantly healed.

LARRY: Wow.

DONNA: from AIDS.

LARRY: W-well it’s interesting; as you’re talking about his words being cloaked in this dewdrop, I’m thinking of the words of Jesus where Jesus says, John 6:63, My words are spirit, and they are life.

DONNA: and life. Exactly.

LARRY: And I think to myself, Jesus is announcing that His words are spirit.

DONNA: Yes.

LARRY: which makes me think it’s like you’re saying it’s more than when we’re speaking; it’s more than just syllables coming together.

DONNA: Yes.

LARRY: it’s more than just words of grammar. When we’re saying what He’s saying.

DONNA: Exactly.

LARRY: about those who are in captivity, or those who are sick and demonized when we’re saying what Jesus says about those people, I believe our words actually carry presence.

DONNA: Absolutely. And Jesus actually, you know, when He came up out of the waters of baptism, and He was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

LARRY: Yes.

DONNA: actually as Jesus taught, He went into the waters, but the waters went into Him.

LARRY: Yeah; that’s good.

DONNA: it came out of Him.

LARRY: Yes.

DONNA: But the first thing that He did is He went to Nazareth.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: and He began to PROCLAIM, I am the Mashiach.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: I am the One Who is anointed. The Spirit of God is on Me.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: But it’s on me for purpose.

LARRY: Yes.

DONNA: And sometimes I feel like we make it so complicated. We think that we’re going to, you know, walk around in this aura, or a cloud of glory.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: But really what it’s about is the mission that the Lord.

LARRY: Yes.

DONNA: sent us on. He said He sent me, to proclaim the good news.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: to the poor.

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: What does that mean? That He wants to change their situation!

LARRY: Yes.

DONNA: He came to heal the brokenhearted;

LARRY: Yeah.

DONNA: He came to set the captives free.

LARRY: Yes.

DONNA: Not just be concerned about them, but CLAPS HANDS do something about their situation. And in order to do that, He had to have that mantle that anointing.

LARRY: Yeah; yeah.

DONNA: and that’s what we covet.

LARRY: That’s awesome. Well in the next  segment, we’re actually going to talk about the difference between spiritual authority, and anointing, and how you can actually cultivate a lifestyle of the anointing being SATURATED in the presence of God and then ACTIVATING the AUTHORITY that Jesus has already given you. I am just so excited, because again what Donna is sharing, these are things that she gleaned from her dad, R.W. Schambach. And she was mentioning T.L. T.L. Osborn; I start thinking. of people like Kathryn Kuhlman, and that great ERA of healing evangelists. And you know what? The wonderful thing is. that they were wonderful people, and we look up to them; but I believe so much of their lives, and so much of what they learned, is transferrable to you, and to me. And they actually set an example for us of how for us o-our lives today, to be SATURATED in the presence of God, and operate in that same spiritual authority that Jesus has given us. So d- w-we’ll see you when we get back, and we will learn about how to actually start FLOWING in these things, in the anointing and authority.

DONNA: Hello everyone. Welcome to Something More. I’m Donna Chavis, your host. And our guest today is pastor of Gateway Church in Austin, Texas. And we’re going to talk to him a little bit about God’s Unshockable Love. Please welcome John Burke. Hi John.

JOHN: Donna, thanks for having me here today.

DONNA: Absolutely. Thanks for being here. Now, John, you pastor Gateway Church in Austin, Texas, but you’ve told us that there was, actually, a supernatural encounter that led you to Austin.

JOHN: That’s right. Twenty years ago, or a little more, my wife and I were living in Chicago. Two little babies. And I was on the way to a retreat that I was hosting for about three hundred people, and a friend of mine was in the car and asked me, You know. How long do you think you’ll be in Chicago – and at this church, I was working at? And I said, I don’t know. I know God clearly led me here. And when He gives me a vision and tells me its time, I’ll go. But I know I’ll be here through the year 2000. I confidently said. That was 1997. And that day in worship I had this overwhelming, clear, Its time, from the Lord. And it wasn’t just two words. It was this complete communication of reminding me of all the times we had stepped out in faith

DONNA: Mm. Yes. Yes.

JOHN: And followed Him into the unknown, and how He had come through. And He was saying its time again. And I went home, and I told my wife. And she said, Did you forget we just had a baby? [Laughs]

DONNA: [Laughs]

JOHN: Like three months ago. And I was like, If this is from the Lord, He’ll show you, too. And we started to pray and realized that what was on Gods heart was a generation of people who were hurting, addicted, broken, far from God and didn’t know that God cared, didn’t know that He had compassion and mercy and that He wanted us to start a church, and, actually, churches, that would go into the world with His compassion and mercy for a hurting world.

DONNA: Uh-huh

JOHN: And that led us to Austin, and to start gateway Church in Austin.

DONNA: And, as you said, as you were getting this download from God speaking to you about moving, it sounds like He was birthing that compassion for this group of people in your heart. I mean, you were already feeling it.

JOHN: Yeah. He, I would be driving along, and I would hear secular songs on the radio, and through every lyric, He was showing me the cries of a generation.

DONNA: Ah.

JOHN: It was like I could feel what He felt. And I’d be driving along, listening, in tears. And I’m like, What’s going on with me?

DONNA: Yeah. Yeah.

JOHN: But He had compassion for people I didn’t even know. And, you know, Donna, what is so amazing is, we just celebrated twenty years. And we filled up one of the biggest event centers in Austin. And I asked people to, you know, light up their phone if they had found faith, or overcome an addiction, or seen a marriage healed, and the whole place lit up.

DONNA: Wow. Wow.
